I would like to draw Members' attention to the The effects of COVID-19 on Welsh language community groups - survey findings report which has been published today.

The coronavirus pandemic has had a colossal impact on how we relate to each other in the community. It has also made us think about how the pandemic might affect Welsh-speaking community groups, which play a key role in enabling people to speak Welsh with each other.

I established a Sub Group of the Welsh Language Partnership Council, chaired by Dr Simon Brooks, to undertake a review of the impact of Covid-19 on Welsh-speaking community groups.

This report presents the findings of a survey carried out by the Sub-group as part of their review, which helps us to understand how Welsh-speaking community groups have responded since the beginning of the crisis.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Simon for his guidance, the members of the Sub-group and the Mentrau Iaith for their thorough and rapid work in completing this important work.
