Today I am pleased to launch the Tackling Hate Crimes and Incidents Framework for Action Progress Report for 2014-15 and a new Annual Delivery Plan for 2015-16. The Progress Report evidences the actions which have been taken across Government and with external partners. It reaffirms our commitment to deliver further progress across the three strategic objectives of prevention, supporting victims and improving partnership working.
I am launching the Progress Report and Delivery Plan during Refugee Week 2015. I will be speaking at the Oasis Centre with the Welsh Refugee Council, community members and partners this afternoon. This year’s theme is based upon ‘Safer Streets’ and provides me with an opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to tackle under reporting of hate crimes and incidents across Wales.
