The Welsh Government has today published a report about intergovernmental relations covering the period of July 2024 to March 2026, in the context of the Inter-Institutional Relations Agreement between Senedd Cymru and the Welsh Government.
This is the first overview report since the July 2024 UK Parliamentary General Election and is intended to provide a fair and balanced view. During this reporting period, we have seen a stronger overall pattern and rhythm to the formal machinery set out in the IGR Review, reflecting an improvement in intergovernmental working. However, this progress has not been consistent in all areas, and there continue to be instances where engagement has been limited or uneven.
