I am delighted to announce the appointment of Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson to a second term of three years as Chair of the Board of Sport Wales. Tanni has served with great distinction during her first term, and I know she will continue to positively lead the sporting sector in Wales during the next three years.
I am also pleased to announce that Rajma Begum, Hannah Murphy and Nicola Mead-Batten will serve a further period of 13 months as part of the ongoing measures to provide stability to the Board membership. Their terms will end on 30 September 2026.
Both Delyth Evans and Dafydd Trystan Davies will end their terms on the Board in September 2025 and I would like to thank them both for their outstanding service on the Board over the past six years.
This statement is being issued during recess to keep Members informed. Should Members wish me to make a further statement or to answer questions on this when the Senedd returns I would be happy to do so.
