Today, I am publishing a report, ‘Investing in an Excellent Workforce’, which has been jointly developed with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This progress report covers the whole workforce in schools (including teachers, headteachers, teaching assistants and others who support learners or teachers) and provides an update on what we have done so far and sets out our planned next steps.
We will continue to work with the EWC and the National Academy for Educational Leadership, and will publish a workforce development plan before the summer.
This will be based on two key features: effective workforce planning based on a detailed level of intelligence and data; and organisational collaboration and cooperation to build and share expertise and change culture.
