On 29 January I updated Members on the Access to Finance Stage 2 Report and announced that Professor Dylan Jones-Evans will lead a further review to explore the concept of a Development Bank for Wales in more depth.
The Report also suggested that business support should be offered alongside financial support. I have therefore asked Robert Lloyd Griffiths in his capacity as the Chair of the Business Wales Strategic Board to lead a review into how Welsh Government non-financial support can best align and support the financial support that is available from Finance Wales for businesses in Wales.
The Review will engage with key stakeholders, small and medium sized enterprises and the business community in Wales and Robert will be reporting back to me with his recommendations by the end of September 2014.
I will provide Members with an update on the Review in due course.
