The coronavirus restrictions were last reviewed on 18 June when we paused the full move into alert level one for four weeks. This delay will help to reduce the peak number of daily hospitalisations by up to half and provide time for more people to receive their second dose of vaccine.

This week we carried out the formal three week review of the regulations. We have carefully considered the data and evidence and confirm that the restrictions in place should be maintained until at least the next regulatory review which will take place by 15 July.
