I would like to inform Assembly Members that Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence – Guidance for Governors, has been published today as part of a package of measures to support implementation under the Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Act 2015.

This Guidance has been produced to inform school governors of the issues surrounding violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence. It will raise their awareness of the need to have an informative and appropriate policy in place which will enable staff to recognise the signs of such abuse and know how to get help for children and young people, or indeed for themselves or their colleagues who may be victims.
