This statement provides an update on the Wales Economic Growth Fund 2012.
Whilst there are some claims still to be made, the following tables provide details of activity and the actual level of investment by Unitary Authority and by sector.
I have approved claims for 85 businesses through the scheme, with an investment figure of over £18 million. These projects have created 874 new and safeguard around 1,028 jobs.
The second round of the Fund is currently progressing, with applications being assessed under Value for Money criteria. I will provide a statement on this stage of the Fund following the summer recess.
