On 10 December I announced the establishment of a Working Group on the Welsh Language in Local Government Administration and Economic Development, chaired by Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM. The Group will consider issues in relation to the Welsh language and Local Government reform.

Today I am announcing the members of the Working Group, ensuring the right mix of skills and expertise in this area. The members are:

Chris Burns – Chief Executive Officer, Caerphilly County Borough Council
Annwen Morgan – Assistant Chief Executive, Ynys Môn County Council
Dr Lowri Hughes – Bangor University
Meic Raymant – Head of Welsh Language Services, North Wales Police
Carys Morgan – Welsh Language & Equalities, Ceredigion County Council
Gwyneth Ayers – Corporate Policy and Partnerships, Carmarthenshire County Council
Sarah Dafydd – Business Change & Improvement Manager, National Assembly for Wales
