This is not the latest release in the series: Aggregate agricultural output and income
Following two years when Total Income from Farming was particularly low, the 2017 forecast is more in line with the figure seen in 2014.
Main points
- The value of agricultural gross output is estimated to have increased by around £174 million (or 12%) between 2016 and 2017, to £1,594 million.
- Intermediate consumption is estimated at £1,138 million in 2017, an increase of around £93 million (or 9%) on 2016.
- Gross Value Added from agriculture increased by around £81 million (or 22%) to £457 million in 2017.
- Total Income from Farming in Wales is estimated to have increased to £276 million in 2017, a rise of around £99 million (or 56%).
