An apprenticeship school, a full-time apprentice trainer and £150,000 investment in machinery to enhance practical training are three of the steps Tonyrefail-based engineering plastics company Ensinger has undertaken to ensure a high-quality workforce.

The current batch of eight apprentices work towards Engineering qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 and are supported by Coleg y Cymoedd, Bridgend College, Newport and District Training Association and TSW Training. Through its promotional material Ensinger ensures that disability, ethnicity or gender are no barrier to entering its programme.

Gary Davies, Ensinger Director, said:

“Apprentices bring energy, enthusiasm and innovation to our company.”
