Matthew Lloyd Jones is looking ahead to an apprenticeship with a local building contractor, something that didn’t seem possible a few years ago. Matty has ADHD and struggled throughout school and his life spiralling out of control.
The Traineeship Construction Academy course through Coleg Cambria saw Matty, from Buckley, undertake construction workshops, community-based projects and work placements. A Site Safety Plus Level 1 and Green Labourer (delete plural s) CSCS Card allowed him to complete a construction site work placement and a local building contractor has offered him an apprenticeship.
