This privacy notice sets out how Welsh Government will collect, use and protect any personal information you provide when completing the Children’s Advocacy – Range and Level Toolkit questionnaire.
Welsh Government is the data controller for the personal data collected through this questionnaire.
Why we are collecting your personal data
Welsh Government is gathering information through this questionnaire to understand views on the relatability, use and future of the Children’s Advocacy Range and Level Toolkit.
The information collected will be used to:
- understand how the Toolkit is currently being used in practice
- explore views on whether the Toolkit should be amended, condensed or replaced
- inform discussions and decision‑making on next steps for the Toolkit
Participation in the questionnaire is voluntary.
What personal data we are collecting
The questionnaire may collect the following information:
- your role and organisation
- your professional views and feedback on the Range and Level Toolkit
- any additional information you choose to provide in free‑text responses
You are not required to provide personal data beyond what is necessary to respond to the questions.
Lawful basis for processing your information
We are processing your personal data under Article 6(1)(e) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), as the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of Welsh Government’s official authority.
How we will use your information
Responses will be analysed by Welsh Government officials responsible for Children’s Advocacy policy.
Information from the questionnaire will be:
- saved securely by Welsh Government
- discussed within the National Advocacy Provider Forum and relevant Task and Finish Groups that are already established
- used to support decisions on the future direction of the Range and Level Toolkit
Findings will be used to inform policy development and next steps. Responses will not be shared outside these existing governance forums.
Who will have access to your information
Access to the information you provide will be limited to Welsh Government officials working on Children’s Advocacy policy and members of the established governance groups identified above.
Your personal data will not be shared with any other third parties, unless Welsh Government is legally required to do so.
How long we will keep your information
Your personal data will be kept only for as long as it is required for the purpose of this work.
Responses will be retained in line with Welsh Government retention and disposal schedules and will then be securely deleted.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request restriction or deletion of your data, in certain circumstances
- object to the processing of your data, where applicable
