The duty of quality will amend and broaden the existing duty on NHS organisations.

As a service user you do not need to do anything for the Duty of Quality.

The duty requires Welsh Ministers and the NHS to think about how their decisions will improve health care in the future. It also requires them to talk to the public about the quality of health care.

Final guidance and information about the Duty of Quality will be available in April 2023.
