Following publication of the Energy Generation and Use Report for Wales: first combined edition, an error was identified in the source dataset used and subsequent processing of that data. Re-analysis has been undertaken using corrected data.

The revisions have principally affected the reported number and capacity of microgeneration-scale projects (solar thermal, heat pump, biomass). Subsequently the figure on Welsh renewable electricity generation as a percentage of 2024’s electricity consumption has been updated to 55% (up by 1%). While several numerical estimates have changed, the overall policy conclusions remain unchanged.
