Iona coordinates and inspires over 100 schools in Carmarthenshire to use and enjoy the Welsh language. She captivates pupils to use Welsh not just in the classroom, but also ensures its use in social situations.
She leads by example and thinks outside the box, using cutting edge strategies to draw parents and pupils alike to the benefits of bilingual education.
Iona has made a huge difference across the local authority, inspiring confidence in all levels of Welsh learners and teachers. Her ability to lead and innovate enables her team to successfully implement the school’s language policies and Carmarthenshire's ‘Welsh in Education Plan’.
