Workplace discrimination and ageism (National Survey for Wales): April 2024 to March 2025

This report looks at peoples’ experiences with discrimination and ageism in the workplace for April 2024 to March 2025.

Main points

14% of people aged 16 to 24, or 50+ had experienced age discrimination at work or when looking for work.
6% of people felt that younger workers were favoured at work.
3% of people felt that older workers were favoured at work.
10% of people had experienced discrimination while at work.
11% of people had been bullied or harassed at work.
