When and how to contact the Cabinet Minister for Health and Care.

The cabinet minister can only deal with letters and emails based on their responsibilities.

If you wish to raise issues from multiple portfolios, please only write to one minister. You will receive a single response from the Welsh Government covering all of your concerns.

You will not receive additional or faster responses by contacting more than one minister. Your correspondence will be combined and answered once.

We will respond via email wherever possible (even if you have written to us in hard copy). You may wish to send us your correspondence by email only.

Please also check your junk mail or spam filters for replies – you may wish to add the @gov.wales domain to your safe domain lists to ensure that you receive our email responses.

We aim to reply within 17 working days. However due to the increased volume of correspondence currently being received, we may take longer.

We are unable to answer correspondence on non-devolved matters. These remain the responsibility of the UK government. Find contact details for the relevant departments.

If you wish to complain about an NHS service, you should contact the organisation who provides that service.

The process for raising concerns or complaints in NHS Wales is called Listening to People: NHS Wales complaints, incidents and redress process

The national citizen voice body, Llais can also help. Llais represents the interests of the people of Wales in respect of health and social care services. Follow the guidance at: Your voice in health and social care.

If you need mental health support and you are not sure where to get advice and guidance on mental health, below are some options for you.

The CALL helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It offers confidential emotional support and advice to individuals and to their families. The freephone number for CALL is 0800 132 737 or get in touch via email: call@callhelpline.wales. Information about looking after mental wellbeing is also available on the CALL website
