Written Statement: Code of Practice on Quality Assurance and Performance Management, Escalating Concerns, and Closure of Regulated Care and Support Services

I consulted on the draft Code of Practice on Quality Assurance and Performance Management, Escalating Concerns, and Closure of Regulated Care and Support Services which will replace the current statutory guidance ‘Escalating Concerns With, and Closures of Care Homes Providing Services for Adults’ issued in 2009. The draft Code sets out national requirements and includes information on roles and responsibilities as well as recommended structures, processes and actions to support local commissioning practice.
