Elin Jones MS, Cabinet Minister for Finance
The Welsh Government’s First Supplementary Budget for 2026-27 is published today.
This supplementary budget provides a number of targeted allocations, reflecting changes made to the Final Budget for 2026-27 as approved by Senedd Cymru in January. It regularises a number of transfers with the UK Government and includes adjustments to the Wales budget to reflect the impact of UK Government fiscal events
It also presents a restatement of the 2026-27 Final Budget in line with the new Ministerial portfolios and reclassifies former ring-fenced non-fiscal resource budgets to Annually Managed Expenditure following a technical change in budget classification by HM Treasury.
The Supplementary Budget will be debated in Plenary on Tuesday 14 July.
