Tony Humphries – YMCA Swansea

Tony volunteers at YMCA Swansea for 10 hours a week in the LGBTQ+ youth group. The youth group offers a safe place for young people to be themselves and express their identity in an accepting environment.
He started attending YMCA Swansea as a young person and showed early signs of being a good group leader. He has undertaken a wide range of training to broaden his skills including Safeguarding, Sign language and a Level 2 award in Youth Work.
Tony has delivered workshops on a range issues affecting young people and his sessions are always engaging, fun, well-planned and educational.
The judges felt that Tony was a committed and dedicated volunteer, and a great example of the impact made on young people.
