Lle Da, GISDA
Finalist
GISDA’s ‘Lle Da’ project has been commended for its integrated approach to supporting vulnerable young people in Gwynedd.
Developed by GISDA in collaboration with Gwynedd Council and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, the project is a powerful example of partnership-led youth work bringing together supported housing, a multi-agency youth hub, training opportunities and a community café within one accessible, central space.
Young people were at the centre of the project’s design and remain integral to its delivery. Through strong participation, holistic support, and informal learning opportunities, the project empowers young people to develop skills and build confidence, embodying the five pillars of youth work to engage with young people who might otherwise slip through the net.
Judges praised the success of Lle Da in offering holistic support to young people, enabling them to move towards independent living and sustainable employment. They described the project as a powerful example of how strong local partnerships can create lasting change for young people and communities.
