1. Overview
We provide Equity Mortgages to buyers of new-build homes (the “Scheme”). The Scheme supports the purchase of homes bought through a participating builder registered with us. For a full list of participating builders, visit: Help to Buy - Wales: participating builders | GOV.WALES
How it works
With Help to Buy – Wales:
- you must provide a 5% deposit
- the Scheme provides an Equity Mortgage of up to 20% of the purchase price
- you must take out a repayment mortgage to cover the remaining amount
Financial example
