Local Broadband Fund overview
We have made £10 million available to support local authorities and social enterprises to deliver broadband projects locally. This is one part of our work to help make sure everyone has access to fast and reliable digital infrastructure.
Local authorities and social enterprises can deliver innovative broadband solutions to communities and parts of Wales which do not currently have access to 30Mbps broadband speeds with the fund.
Application process
Apply for funding during an application window.
Local authorities and social enterprises are encouraged to work together to:
- identify communities
- deliver creative connectivity solutions
Applications from individual organisations will also be accepted.
Funding is available to:
- deliver fast, reliable broadband in areas of Wales currently without access
- create new broadband infrastructure including backhaul facilities
- upgrade existing broadband infrastructure
An application form and guidance will be available here when the fund is open for applications.
