The index ranks small areas in Wales according to their relative levels of multiple deprivation. A range of indicators underlie the index ranks.

This page relates to the most recent full index update in 2014. The indicator update, 2017 page relates to subsets of WIMD indicators that have been updated, but do not rank areas on overall multiple deprivation.

The WIMD 2014 interactive tool is a great way to view deprivation statistics for small areas of Wales (called Lower Super Output Areas or LSOAs for short).
