We have published a report summarising the responses to the feedback survey on proposed indicators for WIMD 2025.

The report also outlines recent developments or changes made to proposals after considering survey responses and views of our advisory groups.

It does not repeat the full detail included in the original proposals report. For further background on WIMD, and on how we developed the proposals, please refer to the earlier proposals report.

Read our blog for an update on timing of the next Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (WIMD), what we’ve published recently, and the change in small area boundaries.

What is the difference between our WIMD indicator and index updates?

The latest update of the WIMD ranks was in 2019. However, a selection of indicators that feed into the Index are updated in between full Index updates.
